Maker-Led Workshops

Heurich Urban Manufacturing Incubator’s Maker-Led Workshop program provides makers with a free in-person platform in the museum’s conservatory to test and develop a new revenue stream to support the growth and stability of their businesses. Selected entrepreneurs will lead a two hour workshop, giving DC residents an opportunity to learn about their small business community. Workshops happen during public biergarten hours, allowing participants to also sip on local craft beverages during the workshop!

Maker-Led Workshops are designed for Beginner & Intermediate businesses (View our “Business Life Cycle Levels” to determine if you are a “Beginner” or “Intermediate” business.) This program is intended for Makers with little to no workshop experience and who are in their first years of operations.

Workshops vendors will be selected through an application process. The museum’s Urban Manufacturing Incubator team will reach out to vendors at least 2 months in advance to confirm their acceptance and provide cross-promotional marketing information. See more information below!

This program is part of our core mission, rooted in craftsmanship and entrepreneurship, and is inspired by our Annual Christmas Markt, now in its 13th year.
