What's the Heurich House without a house?

The Heurich House Museum building is our most important artifact - it protects our historic collections, keeps you safe when you visit, and tells an important story about the everyday Washingtonians who have shaped our past and help us learn how to build a better future.
Starting next year, we’ll be focusing on projects to help keep our 130-year old house around for another 130 years. Improvements to our windows, HVAC, roof, and elevator will allow us to continue to preserve local history, engage residents with people-driven programming, and stimulate economic opportunities for local makers. Stay tuned to learn more about these projects and how you can help.
