Welcome our new board members!
As longtime friends of the Museum, we are grateful Jamaal & Jerry have agreed to lend their considerable talents to our team. Get to know them:
Jamaal Lemon is a writer and journalist who currently works for the National Institute of Justice at the Department of Justice. He received the James Beard Award for his article Come Hell or High Water in Good Beer Hunting. He also sits on the board of Craft x EDU, an organization that champions inclusion, equity, and justice in the craft brewing community.
Jerry L. Foust is a cultural resource consultant with over 30 years of experience in the museum field. He has most recently worked with Environment & Culture Partners on developing climate resilience tools for cultural organizations, and as Historic Site Director for Dumbarton House Museum. He currently teaches graduate classes at Georgetown University and Harvard University, and currently sits on the steering committee for the Alliance for Response DC.
Both Jamaal and Jerry are often at our public programs - say hi if you see them!
