Heurich (Open) House: GW Student Architecture & Design Pop-Up

Design has the power to change more than just a physical space, it also transforms how we feel and think. What happens when we take historical architecture and modernize it with new technologies and design elements?

On Friday, February 2nd from 5:00 - 8:00 pm during First Friday Dupont, join us for the first Heurich (Open) House of 2024 featuring work by graduate architecture students from George Washington University Corcoran School of the Arts & Design. Connect with the students, who together with the Heurich House Museum’s education and preservation teams, will challenge how we interpret and interact with design.

The students spent their fall 2023 semester reimagining details in the Heurich House and interpreting them with a modern lens. Enter into the museum’s front hall and engage in conversation with Jenna, the museum's Curator & Education Director to learn about the historic craftsmanship that served as inspiration for the students. View the students’ models on two floors of the historic home and interact with the students who will share their inspiration, research, and process.

This is an open house, guests are invited to come at any point in the evening. This event is free. RSVP is requested, but not required

Heurich (Open) House will be an ongoing series with themed drop-in style programming. Stay tuned for more details by joining our email list.
